Chuubu (lit. Central) Airport is an international airport located on an artificial island in Ise Bay, Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture, 35 km south of Nagoya in central Japan. It is a major airport of Japan, as well as the main airport of the Chuubu region (central part of Honshuu island). The airport was opened in 2005, replacing Nagoya airport.
